01 Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the First Aid Ninja web application and associated services ("the Service"), operated by First Aid Ninja, a UK-based business.
By accessing or using the Service at firstaidninja.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including visitors, free-tier users, and paying subscribers (Pro and Teams).
02 Description of the Service
First Aid Ninja is an AI-powered scenario generation tool designed to assist qualified first aid trainers in the United Kingdom. The Service generates clinically informed training scenarios, assessment sheets, moulage guides, session plans, and related training materials based on parameters provided by the user.
The Service is offered in three tiers:
- Free — limited daily generations with core features, no account required.
- Pro (£19/month) — unlimited generations, full export formats, scenario bank, and advanced features.
- Teams (£59/month) — everything in Pro, plus multi-seat access, white-label branding, session timer, and session planner.
Features, pricing, and tier inclusions may be updated from time to time. Current details are always available on our pricing page.
03 Eligibility and Intended Users
The Service is intended for use by qualified or trainee first aid instructors, training organisations, and education professionals. It is not intended for use by members of the general public seeking first aid advice for real emergencies.
You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase a paid subscription. By subscribing, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
The Service is designed for the UK first aid training market and references UK guidelines, awarding bodies, and clinical protocols. Use outside the UK is at the user's own discretion and risk.
04 Clinical Accuracy and Professional Responsibility
Important: Every AI-generated scenario must be reviewed and verified by a qualified first aid instructor before use with candidates or in any formal training or assessment context. This is not legal boilerplate — it is genuinely necessary.
All scenarios, assessment sheets, and training materials generated by the Service are produced using artificial intelligence and are intended as a starting point for qualified instructors — not as a substitute for professional clinical judgement.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- The Service does not guarantee clinical accuracy, and outputs may occasionally contain errors, omissions, or outdated information.
- You are solely responsible for ensuring that any materials used in your training courses comply with the requirements of your awarding organisation, employer, and applicable law.
- First Aid Ninja accepts no liability for any harm, injury, loss, or adverse outcome arising from the use or misuse of AI-generated content in a training or real-world context.
The AI references guidance from organisations including the Resuscitation Council UK, HSE, and major UK awarding bodies. This does not constitute endorsement by or affiliation with those organisations.
05 Subscriptions, Licensing, and Payment
5.1 Access and Licence Keys
Paid tiers (Pro and Teams) are accessed via a licence key delivered by email upon payment. The licence key unlocks your tier within the application. You are responsible for keeping your licence key secure and must not share it with unauthorised users.
Each licence key corresponds to one individual user unless you have purchased a Teams plan, which permits up to five named trainer seats.
5.2 Subscription Billing
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. UK and EU VAT is applied where applicable.
5.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer partial-month refunds unless required by law.
5.4 Refunds
Refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis in accordance with your statutory rights under UK consumer law. Please see our Refund Policy for full details.
5.5 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increase via email or in-app notification. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
06 Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the Service to generate content intended to deceive, mislead, or harm candidates or third parties.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying AI model, prompts, or system architecture.
- Share, resell, or sublicense your access or licence key to others (except within a Teams plan as permitted).
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits, access controls, or any security features of the Service.
- Input personal data, candidate names, real patient information, or sensitive personal information into any generation field.
- Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law, including data protection law.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access without notice if we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.
07 Intellectual Property
7.1 Our IP
The First Aid Ninja name, branding, interface design, underlying prompts, and system architecture are our intellectual property. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights in our IP beyond the limited right to use the Service as described.
7.2 Generated Content
AI-generated scenarios and materials produced using the Service are provided to you for use in your professional training activities. You may use, adapt, print, and share generated content for the purposes of first aid training delivery, course preparation, and assessment.
You may not resell generated content as a standalone product or represent AI-generated content as your own original work for commercial purposes without adaptation.
7.3 White-Label (Teams)
Teams subscribers may apply their own organisation's branding to exports. This is a display feature only and does not transfer ownership of the underlying Service or generated content.
08 Data, Privacy, and GDPR
First Aid Ninja is subject to UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We do not use tracking cookies or behavioural analytics. Your scenario bank, history, favourites, and settings are stored in your own browser and do not leave your device.
When you generate a scenario, your configuration parameters are transmitted to Anthropic's API to generate the output. You must not enter personal data, candidate names, or real patient information into any generation field.
For full details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
09 Service Availability and Limitation of Liability
We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Downtime may occur due to maintenance, third-party API issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the relevant claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10 Third-Party Services
The Service uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate content. Use of the Service is also subject to Anthropic's usage policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of third-party services.
11 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify subscribers via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12 Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you have a complaint, please contact us in the first instance and we will endeavour to resolve it promptly and fairly.
